For who?

Kamermuziek Concours Jong Gelere is open to all young musicians aged 11 to 18, whether they are already studying at a conservatory, considering doing so, or know that they will never do so, but are capable of making beautiful music.

They perform as a duo, trio or any other ensemble of any size, but always without a conductor. For clarity’s sake, soloists are excluded. The repertoire is classical music, from old to contemporary.

How will you participate?

Ensembles in this age category have the choice to:

Take part in the competition, including judging and prize-giving;

OR

Perform during the competition without judging or prize-giving (‘performance’). Their performance consists of a classical music performance of up to 10 minutes on one of the competition days to be determined by the organisers.
