Mikhail Zemtsov

Violist Mikhail Zemtsov is an internationally renowned and versatile musician: soloist, teacher, chamber musician and conductor. He has played solo concerts with orchestras all over the world: from Mexico to Lithuania, from Luxembourg to Hamburg and Vienna, always under the baton of the greatest conductors, including Neeme Järvi and Jaap van Zweden.

Mikhail Zemtsov is a viola teacher at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and the Utrecht Conservatorium.

Mikhail Zemtsov is a member of the Utrecht String Quartet. Together with guitarist Enno Voorhost, he forms the Duo Macondo. And he is the founder of a unique ensemble: together with his wife Julia Dinerstein, his daughter Dana and his nephew Daniil, all viola players, they form the Zemtsov Viola Quartet.
