Marijke Schröer obtained her Master’s degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music with Arno Bornkamp, where she developed an enormous love for playing in ensembles. She is therefore a member of the Melisma Saxophone Quartet, the saxophone duo Noota, Saxyon and the Netherlands Saxophone Octet. Concerts she has given include at the Davos Festival (Switzerland), Open Days Festival (Denmark), CCMAS Morelia (Mexico), National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing (China), Izumi Hall (Japan), and the Grieg in Bergen Festival (Norway). Besides being a saxophonist, Marijke is the programmer of the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam and the Uitgast Festival Lelystad. See also: www.marijkeschoer.nl.
