Chris Duindam
Chris Duindam studied violin at the conservatories of The Hague, Amsterdam and Utrecht, with Philip Hirshhorn, Viktor Liberman, Eli Goren and Emmy Verhey, among others.
Besides his solo and chamber music performances, Chris Duindam teaches violin as a main subject at the conservatories of Utrecht, Groningen, Tilburg and at the Academy for Musical Talent. He regularly gives master classes at home and abroad and participates in various festivals, such as the Peter the Great Festival in Groningen, the International Arts Festival Francigena in Italy and the Cugnon International Chamber Music Festival.
From 2004 to 2015, he was part of the Combattimento Consort Amsterdam.
In 2011, Chris Duindam founded the ‘Cugnon Project’ (www.cugnonproject.com), an initiative that brings young talented string players together with professional musicians through chamber music concerts and an annual returning festival.
