Jelmer Moed
Chamber music lies at the heart of everything I do as a clarinettist. From my long-standing collaborations with pianist Rik Kuppen and the Animato Quartet, with whom I have been playing for over ten years, to projects involving contemporary and electronic music: listening to and responding to one another is always central. It is precisely through chamber music that I have learnt the most about ensemble playing, artistic curiosity and developing my own musical voice. It is a space where ideas emerge through dialogue, where trust and risk-taking go hand in hand, and where every voice matters. I bring that openness to all my projects, regardless of the line-up or genre. I look forward to hearing the dedication, ensemble playing and imagination of the participants.
